I was visiting my parents and started watching this movie in the background with my mom while on my computer.
It’s been a while since I truly watched a “feel good” movie that didn’t try to overdo it on the sentimentality. It was a very pleasant surprise.
A speaking octopus, a lost son, a sad grandma, and a man looking to find his roots seems like an odd combination, but it’s done right. Set on the coast of the Pacific Northwest, the scenic backdrop was perfect.
If you want to leave a film feeling good and happy for others, this is it.
